So we learned a bit about the Celts and no one liked them...but they called them "hals" which means salt. But salt is like gold so I dont know why they would call them salt...unless they are talking about the bad aspects of salt.
I guess they werent too smart since about 1,000 Celts died because they all got trapped in the mines. So far this chapter is not really about salt..but the results of trying to get to it...which isnt as bad as reading about how salt is used to make Celts style of soy sauce.
Marco Polo!!!! I did not know that his road and the Silk Road were the same thing...thats pretty cool.
Well the Celts did something right by inventing leg of pig and eating ham. It does not make sense to call a god a pig but they werent the smartest people so i let it slide.
This chapter was pretty lame...I thought it was the worst so far...I couldnt even make fun of salt since it was hardly in there. But I did learn a new recipe, woohoo.

Poor Celts, they never got to build their own nation. I also agree that it wasn't very smart of them to get trapped in the salt mines..
I think that the Celts actually were pretty smart people. Sure they were stupid because they got trapped in those mines, but at least they figured out to mine salt! Where the Celts went wrong was the ham thing. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have to eat ham and act like it's great. I hate ham. The Celts need to be beat with a pig bone across the head.
So salt huh?
who would have thought.
Unlike most of the class, you seem to be "down" on the Celts. Most of your classmates blogs are the total opposite on this matter. (if you don't believe me go check)
Just because the Celts died out doesn't mean they weren't smart. The Romans were pretty harsh on them.
Mr. K is using salt to connect to history. So the book doesn't always have to be about actual salt. Again, your negative attitude shows through and causes you to fall off topic. This post is rather short and doesn't offer as much as the 1st two.
Your grade will reflect this.
